Wault Finance
Submit a BugProgram Overview
Wault Finance is a decentralized finance hub that connects all of the primary DeFi use-cases within one simple ecosystem, on the Binance Smart Chain. They believe the benefits of DeFi should be accessible to the masses but in a secure and intuitive way; avoiding the expensive fees, confusing interfaces, and centralized decision-making of many current platforms. So, with these goals in mind they’ve built a protocol including 4 tokens – WAULTx, WEX, WEXpoly, and WUSD – and some unique features such as: WaultSwap (AMM), Wault Launchpad (new project presales), Wault Locker (liquidity locks for new or established projects), Wault Farms (staking and farming) and many other great services.

The bug bounty program covers its smart contracts and web/app assets and is focused on preventing the following:
- Thefts and freezing of principal of any amount
- Thefts and freezing of unclaimed yield of any amount
- Theft of governance funds
- Governance activity disruption
- Website goes down
- Access to sensitive pages without authorization
Rewards by Threat Level
Rewards are distributed according to the impact of the vulnerability based on the Immunefi Vulnerability Severity Classification System. This is a simplified 5-level scale, with separate scales for websites/apps and smart contracts/blockchains, encompassing everything from consequence of exploitation to privilege required to likelihood of a successful exploit.
All bug reports, both smart contract and web/app, must come with a PoC and a suggestion for a fix in order for consideration of a reward.
The amount of funds at risk affects the final severity classification of the bug report. A vulnerability resulting in the direct loss of protocol funds of 10% or greater remains classified as Critical. However, they are reclassified as High if the impact is less than 10% but greater than 0.1%. If the impact is less than 0.1%, they are reclassified as Medium.
For bug reports that satisfy the condition of Critical, the reward is further capped at 10% of funds affected, though cannot go higher than the maximum amount stated in this bug bounty program.
Payouts are handled by the Wault Finance team directly and are denominated in USD. Payouts are done in USDT (BEP20).

Assets in Scope
Only web/app vulnerabilities that directly affect this asset are accepted within the bug bounty program. All others are out of scope.
All contracts can be found at https://github.com/WaultFinance. However, only the contracts listed in the table are counted as within the scope of the bug bounty program.
Impacts in Scope
Only the following impacts are accepted within this bug bounty program. All other impacts are not considered as in-scope, even if they affect something in the assets in scope table.

Out of Scope & Rules
The following vulnerabilities are excluded from the rewards for this bug bounty program:
- Attacks that the reporter has already exploited themselves, leading to damage
- Attacks requiring access to leaked keys/credentials
- Attacks requiring access to privileged addresses (governance, strategist)
Smart Contracts and Blockchain
- Incorrect data supplied by third party oracles

- Captcha bypass using OCR
- CSRF with no security impact (logout CSRF, change language, etc.)
- Missing HTTP Security Headers (such as X-FRAME-OPTIONS) or cookie security flags (such as “httponly”)
- Server-side information disclosure such as IPs, server names, and most stack traces
- Vulnerabilities used to enumerate or confirm the existence of users or tenants
- Vulnerabilities requiring unlikely user actions
- URL Redirects (unless combined with another vulnerability to produce a more severe vulnerability)
- Lack of SSL/TLS best practices
